To God be the Glory

A note from our president on January 23

Praise God for the chaos of last week, which didn’t technically end until about 3:00 Sunday morning. While I am extremely thankful for the blessings, the close of the 110-hour week surrenders the need for an extra-large bowl of reprieve, and a few minutes of alone time with the Lord to reflect and redirect, is a must.Although these gifts eventually translate into manna and quail, it is important that I keep them in perspective as the grass eaters usually knock at my door when I don’t.

We recently purchased another office building to house the sales department. Throughout the decorating process, I have made it a point to request scriptures of encouragement throughout. We have been purposeful in the placement of the frames so that no matter what hallway is traversed or what office is entered, a reminder of God’s deliverance is always within sight.

I have worked in this industry for nearly three decades and have seen every level of greed imaginable. I have excused myself from the presence of God more than once to chase my own bag of silver and I have “exchanged my Glory” for other counterfeit gods as soon as they have entered the fringe, fighting with tooth and nail to get back to the bosom of the Lord as soon as I recognized my lunacy in doing so.There is no other place I’d rather be and no amount of gold worth surrendering it. He alone has delivered me from the chains of slavery and redeemed me from the bondage of my own transgressions, and I will do everything in my power to remind those around me of His generous rescue.
