Over the last few shifts, “daily bread” has not looked like a pallet full of valves or a $20,000 gold-plated remote seal. Praise God for all of these miscellaneous items that have come into War Horse and helped pay a few bills. Praise His holy name and His loving kindness that we remain healthy and in the black as the market around us is anything but stable.
The other day we were given a very nice order with several zeros in it. The manufacturer of the product was ecstatic and pitched many different types of praise our way. I told him we could not take the credit. He was somewhat dumbfounded by this response and asked where then the credit needed to be directed. I told him Jesus accompanies us on every sales call and I also mentioned, to his surprise, that the amount of the sale mattered nil. If the opportunity does not permit a good foot washing, an upper level of transparency, excessive moral behavior, and pure honesty, we will walk away from the deal. Needless to say it became a great opportunity to share the Gospel and plant a firm reminder of what equipping the customer for victory really means.
