A note from our president on Monday, May 10, 2021

“Let them praise His name with dancing; let them sing praises to Him with timbrel and lyre’ Psalm 149:3-4

Earlier today one of our fourth graders in small group made the statement that following Christ means life is easy. Sorrowfully, I had to remind him that this is not always the case.

This past week was one of the roughest I’ve experienced in business to date. I was on my knees just as much, spent time in the Word, deliberately put God first and still experienced many trials that left us with lifeless sails, unforeseen loss and postponed dreams.

In the wise words of Forrest Gump life is a box of chocolates. But, I do see this never knowing what you’re going to get kind of world looking ahead to its coming King. All things both inanimate and animate sing a praise filled song. Fire, hail, snow, clouds and the evergreens speak of the Lord’s power and creativity. The cancer survivor and once barren, now fertile, mother speak of the Lord’s mercy. The prodigal child speaks of the Lord’s forgiveness and the pandemic stricken business speaks of the Lords provision.

Be encouraged brothers and sisters. All creatures, great and small, are looking forward to the sound of the last trumpet when afflictions become absent, tears are wiped dry and the dancing is endless.
