A note from our president on Monday, April 26, 2021

“The Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forever more.’ Psalm 121:8

Earlier this week we were awarded a very nice job. However, upon booking the order, my QC group found a small error when comparing the quote to the actual spec and no sooner had we accepted the PO did we regretfully have to give it back. The order was big and would’ve provided much needed water for our growth. Giving it back was no easy task as all of the powers in our fallen world were encouraging us to ‘let it slide.’

A favorite biblical story in our house is that of the rich young ruler. A man who comes to Jesus with the hope of receiving a passing grade even though some subjects were left incomplete. When Jesus tells him to sell everything he owns he walks away sad knowing the cost of following Christ is too great.

The topic of money is the second most talked about theme in the Bible. It is the source of good and bad and often exposes what we are really made of when the chips are down. For my house the cost of not following Christ is too substantial and as I hung my head low, giving the order back to our great customer, a whisper from the Holy Spirit reminded me Who the cattle on a 1000 hills really belongs to and anything short of the Living Water is only a mirage.
