‘My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.’ John 10:27-28
During a devotional I was leading my son through we came across an interview from Mo Isom. Mo was a soccer player at LSU who kicked a 90 yard goal in the final seconds of a game. When the ball goes into the net the crowd erupts and the night air is pierced with screams from the victors. It is the only sound you can hear from that point forward.
Isom says, however, the only thing she could hear was her dad’s voice on the sideline. In the video you see her running across the field and jumping into his arms.
Be encouraged my friends, be encouraged.
Amidst the piercing chaos of the times we are living in, one voice will stand out as we cross the finish line. A great cloud of witnesses will holler their excitement, but one voice will be crystal clear. The same voice that thunders from the heavens, speaks the sun into existence, calms the wind, finds the lost, redeems the broken, rains mana from the sky and raises the dead will exclaim ‘well done!’
I cannot wait to jump into His arms!
