Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.’ 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
For the most part, my prayer life today is pretty solid. But, it has not always been that way. Attending church on Sunday was about all the care it once received. I would think about God from time to time and ponder miracles when one would cross my path but to be truthful for a lot of life God and God ‘things’ were boxes that needed to be checked each week and nothing more.
Experiencing the reality and the meeting of heaven and earth in your life requires deep seeded faith. It Requires trusting in the solid Rock when all you can see is the surface of the water. it requires swinging for the fence when a base hit will get you by.
It does not require a perfect life. It does not require a clean record. It does not require eloquent prayers and words. It does not require your service in the church or your confession to a priest. God knows you have messed up and all He wants is for you to run to Him for help.
The man by the pool in John 5 had been dealing with his disease for 38 years and just wanted to be healed. Simply enough God Almighty just wanted to be asked.
If you limit your prayer life don’t be jsurprised if God limits what He shows you. He is a jealous God and wants all of you. From this soul that was once lost but has now been found He deserves all of me.
