Being a real man in today’s world is tough. There are imposters everywhere. And the media reinforces our need to conform. The importance of this true identity puts us on the front lines, everyday, with the enemy.
Satan is seeking to devour us. He is seeking to make us so consumed by the desires of the world that we leave everything else in the no. 2 position. Without Jesus Christ at the forefront we are defenseless.
In my own life, if I drop an F-bomb, talk down to my wife or disqualify someone with a different opinion, it’s game over. I feel completely defeated. The strongholds are too great, the Cross is too far away and I’m dead in the water. Satan wins the battle.
But, not the war.
Think, for just a second, what the enemy on the field in Ezekiel felt, heard and witnessed when the dry bones came to life. The grip of death was no more. The feeling of hopelessness, eradicated. Defeat replaced with victory in one single swoop.
Friends, we have the opportunity to serve the one true God. Because of Jesus, we can approach the Cross with blood on our face, scars on our hands and dirt on our feet. God is the Alpha and the Omega. Nothing is beyond Him.
So, grab your weapon and get back on the field. We are arrows in the hands of a Mighty Warrior. ‘This is the Praise that makes dead men walk again.’
