A note from our president on Monday, May 18, 2020

Jesus replied: ‘‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.’ Matthew 22:37-40

I have lost count how many times I have been blinded by the priority of my to do list vs God’s. As I add things to the list I become more aggressive and single minded in completing it.

Jesus reminds us in Scripture and through His ministry that the destination is God and the only list worth completing is that which involves dropping a net and following Him.

My son reminded me, this weekend, of the second greatest commandment when a neighbor became distraught and needed assistance. To me this was an interruption. To my son this was an opportunity to share the love of Jesus and be a witness.

Be encouraged brothers and sisters. Jesus’ to do list is people centric. His daily walk consisted merely of these two commandments. He can redirect our path using the mouth of a great fish or one of a 9 year old.
