Isaiah 46:9-10
I was reminded this week by a great friend that not a single thing happening in our world today is a surprise to God. I had just expressed my disdain over the so-called protection plan. I expressed my frustration with regards to the injustice happening all around our city. And, I even found myself engaging with nonbelievers in a sort of cut-your- ear-off kind of way like Peter in the garden as opposed to the more loving way encouraged in Scripture when dealing with those who are of a fragile mind.
God is sovereign and still in complete control. He remains just, loving, wise, and able to provide for our every need. And despite our best efforts to build idols of worship, self diagnose our problems and abuse His generosity, God will prevail when the rest of it burns.
Be encouraged brothers and sisters. We are not called to know the time and the date of God’s plan. We are not entitled to know the details. We are called to exalt Christ only. In every single thing we do we are called to exalt Christ and dance before our audience of One.
