‘Far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.’ Ephesians 1:21-23
Driving into work this morning and noticing the number of cars on the highway, or lack there of rather, the Holy Spirit reminded me there are many people waking up this morning with insurmountable fears. They are waking up to a broken record of hopelessness. They are waking up to the possibility of losing everything.
Those of us who are called sons and daughters should be reminded that our number one job, on this earth, is to witness for Jesus Christ and the coming Kingdom. To speak the truth that while fear and temptation and hopelessness may present themselves, they do not have the final say in our life. They are not the dictator.
The Cross crucified Satan and his lies. Remind him of that when he tempts you to respond in fear because of what the stock market is doing. Remind him of that when he tempts you to hoard because of what the virus is doing.
The Cross resurrected Jesus Christ and it resurrected a hopefulness, a deliverance and a promise that victory is ours. Christ has the final say. Shout that from the rooftops.
