‘A woman who had a hemorrhage for twelve years, and had endured much at the hands of many physicians, and had spent all that she had and was not helped at all, but rather had grown worse’ after hearing about Jesus, she came up in the crowd behind Him and touched His cloak. For she thought, ‘If I just touch His garments, I will get well.’ Mark 5:25-29
As my devotional in Mark continues, the Holy Spirit provokes me further to contemplate the followers of Jesus and the fans of Jesus and where I fit in.
In this scene we see Christ immediately knowing that the one who touched his robe truly believed. When the question is asked ‘who touched me’ Peter responds and says many are touching You Lord as a crowd of 3000+ brushes past.
We see this same belief in the blind man, the paralytic’s friends, the doubting apostle and those who triumph when bad news befalls them. And the haunting question that looms on the horizon is ‘where do I stand?’
I pray more for the valleys than I do the mountain tops in hopes of more time beside still waters working this one out. May I be found guilty of having at least a mustard seed worth of belief.
Praise God for another unbelievable blessing. This nice order of rupture discs, in all sizes and materials, found its way into our hands. Because of great resources we were better at response, delivery and price. A trifecta worth striving for.
