A note from our president on Thursday, February 6, 2020

‘Afterward, David was conscience-stricken for having cut off a corner of his robe. He said to his men, ‘The Lord forbid that I should do such a thing to my master, the Lord’s anointed, or lay my hand on him; for he is the anointed of the Lord.’ With these words David sharply rebuked his men and did not allow them to attack Saul. And Saul left the cave and went his way.’ 1 Samuel 24:5-7

For anyone out there who knows this part of the Bible, this is a great scene where we have an example of strength, prerogative and the element of surprise harnessed by God and saved for a later date.

David, completely trusting God, even though his flesh is communicating to his body something that should happen now or ‘fear for his life’ later, does not give in. He is fully aware of where the very ground he travels by, and all the fruit from it, comes from. What a lesson for all of us who feel like retaliating in this season of life.

I would encourage you in that whatever road you find yourself, you choose to wait on God’s timing. His word promises that if it is in His will our enemies will be delivered into our hands without us having to so much as play a musical instrument.

Praise God for the blessing below that literally sprung up from the ground.
