A note from our president on Tuesday, February 4, 2020

‘He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.’ Micah 6:8

A.W. Tozer states that the goal of every Christian should be to live in a state of unbroken worship. This can be difficult with today’s distractions. My pastor talks about students walking closely behind their teachers, so close that the dust from their shoes kick up and lands on their legs. The student is completely dependent on his teacher for it is by his great words that the student is able to navigate life. What a great thought as each of us work out our own relationship with Jesus and how closely we should follow behind.

When a glimpse of what War Horse could be enters my peripheral, and all of the lights and the sounds and the action that go along with that spark a new drive, I find that I am more grateful for the valleys of uncertainty than I am the mountain tops of endless blessing. The valley is where the growth happens. The valley is where living water flows. The valley is where the invitation for true intimacy awaits. My perspective is crystal clear, for some reason, in the middle of the muck and mire.

Praise God for this blessing below. This 14 inch General was needed quickly and the closest delivery was 12 weeks away. Very thankful God gave us the contacts to find this baby in less than 7 days.
