‘Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, ‘Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times? Jesus answered, ‘I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.’ Matthew 18:21-22
A few weeks ago one of my competitors went to upper management, inside one of our best accounts, and trash talked War Horse. While the customers did see through the false advertising and chalked it up to jealousy, the action still hit my hot button and left me in a place where taking the low road became attractive. Nothing gets my engine running hot like an oversized bully.
As I contemplated my next move to retaliate, the Holy Spirit went to work on my heart and reminded me of the verse above. My body is no longer mine. The One True King is my only audience. Forgiving and pushing the train down the track is my only play. I’m well aware of Who has the victory in the end.
‘It’ll clear the bitterness away It can even set a prisoner free There is no end to what its power can do So let it go and be amazed by what you see through eyes of grace. The prisoner that it really frees is you. Forgiveness.’ Matthew West
I’m very thankful this customer knows who we are and knows what we’re about and trusted us with the following opportunity. Twin 14’ sisters ordered and delivered same day.
