Loving the competition

A note from our president on Thursday, October 17, 2019

For most of my career, in oil and gas, I have been taught to treat competitors like dirt. A ‘Me first’ mentality. As I look at the grass from the other side of the fence, and as I grow in my relationship with Christ, more importantly, I find that this mentality is not what’s best for the customer. And since the mission is to treat the customer like gold, it is time to do things differently.

The valve pictured below was needed in the middle of the night on a weekend. We would also need a shop that was certified to do a certified pop test, which War Horse doesn’t have yet. The customer, aware of this, trusted War Horse to come through anyway.

I’m extremely thankful that I could lean on a competitor of the past who helped me complete this project. Brings a smile to my face that we could work together and pull out a win for our great client.
