We are just a few hours out from celebrating our 4th anniversary. The venue is booked, invitations have been sent and as of our last headcount, standing room only appears unavoidable. As I sit here at my desk on this very still and quiet Sunday evening, I cannot help but look back and reflect on just how life-sustaining the Good Shepherd has been through all of this.
We’ve had seasons of plenty and those of drought. We’ve had days of customers calling from across the globe and others when the phone doesn’t ring at all. Consequential agreements have escaped us, and million-dollar deals have poured over the transom. Employees have come and others have gone, our inventory has doubled in size and then there have been days when a home “for sale” sign seems inevitable. And even this past week, the landscape continues to change as we look to the east and west for additional places to position our flag and wash feet.
Praise God for His use of the clock’s hands. Praise Jesus for the classroom that seems to unfold differently, each morning. Praise the Holy Spirit for His guidance through the new textbook. For every minute my hands are in the air celebrating a victory, my knees are also on the floor begging for another round of favor. It has been completely surreal and with as much growth that has existed inside of the fluctuating terrain, praise Yahweh He has been absent of reform. His promises are as true on this Sabbath as they were in the days of Moses, His mercy remains unparalleled and His use of the world’s gold and myrrh and the lessons derived from it, stand as another reminder of Who alone is worthy of the singing and dancing.
