Psalm 121:8
This scripture was shared with me earlier this morning. I would encourage you to look up Psalm 121:1-8 and recite it out loud to yourself no matter where you are.
For me personally I cannot help but think about the disciples, specifically Peter, after Jesus asked him to keep watch in Matthew’s 26th gospel. This was the night Jesus asked the disciples to look after things and if you know the story, they fell asleep and did not.
I think about my own life and how many times the Holy Spirit challenges me to get up a little earlier and pray for my brothers and sisters. How many times I’m challenged to resist sending out one more email and spend a little extra time in His word.
Not only is God Jehovah the Maker and the Giver of all good things, He also consistently and continuously provides for me in my weakness. I am void of the vocabulary required to describe how undeserving I am…. and yet He keeps watch anyway.
